On March 22,2013 a game was held at San Pedro Sula, Honduras at Estadio Olympico Metropolitano. Honduras played versus Mexico. Mexico hasn't been able to defeat Honduras over 48 years and the streak still continues. The result of this game was 2-2. Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez scored a header for Mexico at minute 28' followed by another goal 54' that was assisted by Carlos Salcido. Honduras didn't give up yet. Carlos Costly responded with header from a corner kick at minute 77'. As the game went on, the referee later called a penalty shot in favor of Honduras. Jerry Bengtson was the man chosen to take the shot. Guillermo Ochoa had read Bengtson's mind and blocked the shot, but then Bengston got the rebound and scored. The game ended 2-2. Mexico could have one but the referee marked the penalty which was not even a foul. Mexico's streak without beating Honduras still continues.
